About Krish
Born and raised in the Twin Cities, Krish is a father, son, husband, educator, public health leader, veteran, pediatrician, and a lifelong tortured Minnesota sports fan. It is thanks to Minnesota and Minnesotans that he has lived the American Dream.
A Doctor and Educator. Krish is a local pediatrician, University of Minnesota Assistant Professor at the Medical School, and Chief Medical Officer of Hennepin Health.
A Public Servant. A member of the Minnesota Air National Guard, Krish serves as an Air Force Flight Surgeon and was recently on active duty deployment in the Middle East.
An Active Community Member. A Little League coach, arts and child advocacy non-profit leader. Former high school teacher and speech coach.
A Proud SD49 resident. Together with his wife, Krish chose Eden Prairie as the place to raise their three young children — drawn by the area's strong public schools, commitment to parks, clean air and water, and a culture of kindness and respect.
Why I’m Running
My parents immigrated to this country and community, hoping for a better life than a predestined future of poverty. They chose Minnesota as the place to raise a family. What they found was more than opportunity. They found neighbors who broke bread with us, helped dig us out after winter storms, and showed up in quiet, practical ways. Through teachers and coaches, through that Minnesota spirit of welcome, my path took shape. That’s why my wife and I settled here too, and why we’re raising our three kids here. My life, my career working for the well-being of Minnesota’s children and families, and now my candidacy, are only possible because this community chose to invest in us.
Priorities
Krish believes in a “Kids First” agenda:, because when we invest in kids, communities thrive.
As a doctor and public health educator, he knows we need to defend science, health & personal freedom.
Good governance means fighting fraud and delivering quality services that make a difference in people’s lives — like good roads, Medicaid, and accessible childcare — and making sure government is transparent and accountable.
Krish is committed to carrying on Senator Cwodzinski’s legacy of kindness and civility in politics, and bringing people together to help our neighbors and make the state a better place.
