How to Be a Delegate!
Support Krish by becoming a delegate!
TUESDAY, FEB 3
6:00 PM
Eden Prairie High School
17185 Valley View Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55346
Here’s how…
Being a delegate means you get to vote on who the DFL will endorse; to become a delegate, you go to the caucus.
What is a caucus? What actually happens there?
A precinct caucus is real democracy in action: the people who show up are the ones who decide. A group of neighbors gather for an evening to discuss issues, candidates, and to shape the DFL platform in their local communities, the state, and the nation.
At caucus you will:
Meet neighbors and build relationships
Meet candidates seeking local, state, and national offices
Elect delegates to represent your precinct at the April nominating convention and, for a select few who wish to, other upcoming conventions
Create and discuss resolutions for consideration in the DFL Party Platform
You, by showing up, pick which candidates and issues get represented. By the end of the night, delegates will have been chosen by your precinct, who will represent your choices at the SD49 DFL convention on Saturday, April 11.
Be a Delegate to the DFL Convention
Can anyone participate?
To participate you must be an eligible voter who lives in SD49 and will be at least 18 years old by November 3, 2026. If you live in Eden Prairie, you live in SD49. If you live in Minnetonka, you may live in SD49. Go to pollfinder.sos.mn.gov to confirm.
And what is a delegate? Do I have to become one?
Delegates will carry the power! It could be you. There are 748 spots at the caucus for neighbors to become a delegate. Becoming a delegate means you get to choose who will get the DFL endorsement for State Senate at the April 11 convention. At the convention, whatever candidate gets 60% of delegate support will receive the DFL endorsement. A variety of party business will also be involved, and you can even have the opportunity to advance as a delegate to higher-level conventions, where you would choose which congressional gubernatorial candidates get the DFL endorsement.

Can’t Make the Caucus? You Can Still Be a Delegate!
Not free to attend the caucus on Feb. 3, but would still like to support Krish? Becoming a delegate is incredibly helpful!
If 60% of the delegates who come to the April DFL convention support Krish, he will receive the endorsement.
To become a delegate, fill out this one-page form, which takes appx. 1-2 minutes. You can submit the form yourself online, or email it to contact@krishforsenate.com by end of the day Monday, February 2, and someone will bring it to the caucus for you.
There are typically enough delegate seats at the April convention that anyone eligible* who wants to attend will be able to.
