Meet Krish

A family of six of Indian descent at a celebration, with the adults dressed in traditional Indian attire and the children in colorful ethnic clothing, smiling at the camera.

When Dr. Krish and his wife chose Eden Prairie to raise their three children, they did so because they believed deeply in what this community represents — a place that puts kids first, that looks out for one another, and that believes we are stronger when we come together.

They have seen that spirit everywhere, from the baseball fields where Krish coached Little League, to the classrooms where teachers nurture curiosity and kindness, to the neighbors who show up for each other when times get tough. This community has supported his family in every sense of the word and it’s what inspires his desire to serve in return.

A soldier wearing camouflage uniform and cap, with glasses, sitting inside a military aircraft with seats and a bed in the background, partially covered with a bedsheet and other items.
A young boy holding a small baseball trophy and a baseball, smiling, standing next to an adult man in a blue shirt, both outdoors on a baseball field with a chain-link fence and trees in the background, during sunset.

As a local pediatrician and Chief Medical Officer at Hennepin Health, Krish has spent his career helping families navigate challenges, celebrate milestones, and find their footing when life gets hard.

As an Air Force flight surgeon, he has worked alongside service members who understand that leadership means putting mission and people before politics.

As a father, husband, and lifelong educator, he believes every decision — from our schools to our health care system — should begin with the question: “What’s best for our kids?”

That guiding question — what’s best for our kids? — has shaped his journey, from his early work setting up a camp for children with HIV in South Africa, to his years advocating for health care access, good governance, and community-based solutions here in Minnesota.

Two people, a woman and a man, are sitting at a table with microphones, headphones, and papers, engaged in a lively conversation or recording session; the man is smiling and wearing a blue suit and bow tie.

We believe our community deserves leaders who bring people together, who listen first, speak with respect, and lead with heart. The spirit that makes this a great place to raise a family is the same spirit that can guide our state forward: one of kindness, stewardship, and shared purpose.
